My old website was thorough. Very thorough. The SEO plugin calculated a reading time of 75 minutes – for a site where visitors really only want to know three things: What does he do? Can he do it? How do I reach him?
Three questions, nothing else
For the relaunch I asked myself exactly these three questions and cut everything that did not answer them. What is left:
- less text, but real projects with real numbers
- screenshots of the actual websites instead of stock photos
- no cookie banner, because there are no cookies
- no fonts or scripts from third-party servers
Faster, shorter, clearer
The result loads faster, reads in a few minutes and still says more. That is exactly what I recommend to you too: a website is not an encyclopaedia. It is a good first impression – and an open door.
